This home features recessed moldings, radiant white oak floors, and many other amenities. It's not clear if the singer will move in, despite the high price tag. She is a great candidate for a new apartment.

Carrie's Manhattan apartment is spacious and brighter than the Nashville home of a starving artist. The large, open-plan kitchen has a black marble table with rattan window seats. The singer's bedroom features a muted beige color scheme, and a grey chaise longue couch. From the large terrace, you can see Manhattan's Central Park.

Hugh Jackman's Coral Gables home

Hugh Jackman purchased a Miami mansion with 3 stories for $21 million. This modernist masterpiece was bought by Hugh Jacksonman in 2008, and is also a philanthropist. Richard Meier, an internationally recognized architect designed the home. It's a beautiful example of midcentury modern design. Hugh Furness is married to Deborra Lee Furness, an artist, and they live in the home with their two children.

Bel Air estate of Lenny Kravitz

The owner of Lenny Kravitz's gorgeous Bel Air mansion is not your average Joe. The actor and producer is also a grammy winner. He also has a number of other accomplishments, including acting in movies and producing music. But what makes his mansion so special? Here are three fun facts on Kravitz. Kravitz also has a collection rare art and antiques in addition to his luxurious home.

The legendary musician designed the hilltop residence. The house was designed by the singer, who included many unique pieces of art as well as furnishings such a large bronze tiger skull and pink clamshell bed. The house is filled in bold colors and has many other accessories that would be appropriate for a rock star. Lenny Kravitz is not only an artist but also a volunteer for charity, such as Zero Hunger or Rock the Vote.

Beyonce's Hamptons home

Beyonce lives in luxury since Jay-Z and she bought a sprawling Los Angeles property for $88.5m earlier this year. Beyonce has smaller houses in New Orleans and Manhattan's Tribeca area, as well as a Malibu, CA estate that she rented for $54 million earlier in the summer. Beyonce has 12 bedrooms, an entertainment room and a subaquatic system in her Hamptons home. The house even includes a tennis and basketball court. A virtual golf course is in the basement, and a rock climbing wall and recording studio are on the property as well.

FAQ

The first film industry was founded in California in 1887 by D.W. Griffith. It was named after Los Angeles, at the time known as Hollywood.

The name stuck because it was such an exciting place for people to visit. It was a place that people would travel from all walks of the globe to experience.

What is the difference of a producer and distributor?

The movie is made by a producer. The movie is distributed via a distributor. Distributors, theaters and other companies, such as Netflix, can be sold directly by producers. Distributors purchase movies directly from producers. Distributors then sell the movies to theaters, cable networks, and streaming services.

Distributors will need to negotiate with theatre owners about the location of their movies. This means that certain movies might be more expensive at some theaters than others. Distributors with multiple theaters are a good choice if your movie needs to be seen by as many people.

Why are so few independent films ever distributed?

Indie filmmakers tend to assume that distributors will buy their films.

They are certain distributors will take their films, as they know that the public will love them.

However, this is rarely the case. Distributors often take advantage of independent filmmakers.

They employ tactics like delaying a movie's release until after awards season has ended.

They might delay the release of low-budget films until after the summer blockbuster series has begun.

Distributors may also keep films from the public until people have already spent hundreds of money on tickets, popcorn or candy.

After all, they don't want to lose out on those profits.

How To

How to get a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame

In 1960, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce created the Hollywood Walk of Fame (HWOF). The HWOF's Los Angeles location is at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. It has 2,711 stars embedded in the Hollywood Boulevard sidewalk. Each star represents someone who made motion pictures, television or radio, as well as music and other aspects of popular culture. The HWOF currently lists 1,922 people.

You must first submit your name and address to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to become a member of HWOF. The Hollywood Department of Cultural Affairs then submits your information to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Once approved, you receive a certificate of eligibility, which includes your name, date of birth, city of residence, occupation, and category. A bronze plaque with the name of your choice is included. This plaque will be attached to a base of concrete in front the designated star.

If you were nominated by an HWOF member, or if there are significant contributions made to the entertainment, film, radio, theatre, and music industries, you may be eligible for a "star" award. A committee evaluates all nominations and then decides whether to approve them. If they do, they send a letter to the applicant's home address explaining their decision. The person who accepts the nomination will receive a second confirmation letter. The Hollywood Chamber of commerce charges $25, and then the money is sent to the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Los Angles.

The department issues the Hollywood Chamber of commerce a check, payable to it. The check is sent to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Foundation. The foundation pays any artist or organization that submitted an application. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce then pays half of the fee ($12.50). The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs receives the remaining half.

Once the artist has received his/her star, he/she becomes eligible to be included in the HWOF. You must pay the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce the balance due to be included on the HWOF. The amount due depends upon how many years ago your first nomination was. For example, if you were first nominated in 1990, you would owe $15,000. If you were nominated for the first time in 1990, you would owe $15,000.

If you want to remove yourself from the HWOF, you need to contact the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and pay off the remainder of your debt. They will remove your name permanently from the HWOF list.

How old do you have to be in order to receive a star on HWOF?

One needs to be at least 18 years old when being nominated. A person must be present at the time of receiving a star. After receiving a star, one may still be nominated again after ten years.

What happens if I die before my star gets put up?

Your family members can nominate you for a star. If there are no known living relatives, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will place the memorial marker in front of it.

Why not use a new street, instead of staring at everyone?

The HWOF is not meant to be a historical monument. It is meant as a memorial to all who contributed to the history of film.

What happened the star thefts? The thieves took approximately 1,200 stars. Each star weighs between 250 and 300 lbs. This makes it approximately 4 tons!
